Disconnect access

Independent Publications Ops does not currently provide a public consumer login. If Meta shows the integration as connected to your account or business, you can remove it from Facebook:

  1. Open Facebook settingsIn Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  2. Find connected integrationsOpen Business integrations or Apps and websites. Meta may use a different label depending on account type and device.
  3. Remove the integrationSelect Independent Publications Ops, review the removal options, and confirm removal.

Immediate effectRemoving an integration stops future access granted through that connection. It does not automatically erase content or messages already stored by Facebook.

Send a deletion request

Message the Japan Undercover Facebook Page with the subject or opening line Independent Publications Ops data deletion request.

Include only the minimum information needed to locate the record, such as the Facebook profile or Page name involved and a short description of the interaction. Do not send a password, access token, government identification, financial information, or other sensitive document.

If the request concerns an email subscription after email capture is activated, include the subscribed email address in the private Page message. Do not post it publicly.

What happens next

The request will be reviewed to identify information held by Japan Undercover or Independent Publications Ops and reasonably linked to the requester. Additional, proportionate verification may be requested when needed to prevent deletion of another person's information.

Matching personal information will be deleted or de-identified unless it must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. If no matching personal information is held, the response will say so.

Because there is no public consumer login, most readers will have no Independent Publications Ops account record to delete.

What this does not erase

  • Posts, comments, reactions, messages, or other content held by Meta. Use Facebook's own controls or contact Meta for those records.
  • De-identified aggregate insights that no longer identify an individual.
  • Minimal audit or suppression records that must be retained for security, duplicate prevention, legal compliance, or to honor an unsubscribe request.

For more detail about collection, use, and retention, read the privacy policy.
